Industrial Symbiosis and Resource Optimization: Strategies for Sustainable Industrial Networks
This article examines industrial symbiosis as a strategic approach to optimizing resource use within industrial networks. It focuses on how the exchange of materials, energy, and by-products among firms can enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and generate environmental and economic benefits. The study analyzes key drivers such as technological advancement, economic incentives, and policy support, while also addressing barriers related to coordination, information sharing, and system complexity. The findings highlight the importance of integrated and collaborative approaches to strengthen industrial symbiosis and support the transition toward more sustainable and circular industrial systems.
