Industrial Symbiosis and Sustainable Resource Management: Insights and Future Perspectives
This article examines the role of industrial symbiosis in promoting sustainable resource management through the exchange of materials, energy, and by-products among industries. It analyzes how symbiotic networks can enhance resource efficiency, reduce environmental impacts, and generate economic value. The study highlights key drivers such as technological innovation, stakeholder collaboration, and supportive policy frameworks, while also addressing barriers related to coordination, data sharing, and implementation complexity. The findings provide insights into future perspectives and strategies for scaling industrial symbiosis as a core component of circular economy transitions.
