MAESTRI improves sustainability in European manufacturing through a flexible platform built on the Total Efficiency Framework. By integrating management tools, performance assessment methods, industrial symbiosis strategies and an IoT system, it enables companies to strengthen both environmental and economic results. The framework is validated in four industrial sites and produces technological and policy recommendations (2015-2019).
SHAREBOX – Smart Shared Mobility Services for Urban Areas
The SHAREBOX project aims to develop and implement an innovative platform for shared mobility services, enhancing the integration of car-sharing within urban transport systems. By leveraging advanced ICT solutions, the project enables seamless access to shared vehicles and promotes multimodal mobility options, contributing to more efficient and sustainable urban transport.
At the core of SHAREBOX is a digital platform that connects users, vehicles, and service providers, allowing real-time booking, access, and management of shared cars. The system integrates with existing public transport networks and mobility services, offering users flexible and user-friendly solutions for first- and last-mile travel.
Through pilot implementations in several European cities, SHAREBOX demonstrates how shared mobility can reduce traffic congestion, lower emissions, and decrease private car ownership. The project also explores user behaviour, business models, and regulatory frameworks, supporting the wider adoption of smart, shared, and low-carbon mobility solutions across Europe.
