LIAISE – Linking Impact Assessment Instruments to Sustainability Expertise
The LIAISE COST Action (Linking Impact Assessment Instruments to Sustainability Expertise) aims to improve the use and effectiveness of impact assessment tools in sustainability policymaking. The project focuses on bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and policy implementation by enhancing the accessibility, usability, and integration of sustainability assessment methods.
LIAISE brings together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to co-develop and refine impact assessment instruments that support evidence-based decision-making. The Action promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange, addressing key challenges such as the complexity of sustainability issues, data availability, and the need for transparent and robust evaluation frameworks.
Through networking activities, training schools, workshops, and collaborative research, LIAISE strengthens the capacity of stakeholders to apply impact assessment tools effectively across policy domains. The project contributes to more informed, coherent, and sustainable policymaking processes at European and international levels.
